Creator Notes:

Today’s comic is more for the older BitF fans, the ones who grew up with the relentlessly difficult Battletoads! More specifically, it’s all about the infamous Stage 3 of the game–which, incidentally, keeps getting topped with harder and harder stages afterward. Battletoads is one of those ridiculously challenging games that I haven’t beaten (I got to around level nine, I think…?), and for someone who loves challenging games and has beaten stuff like Ninja Gaiden (NES), all the Time Trials in DKCR, and every difficulty in Viewtiful Joe, that’s saying something.

Animation in comics is something that I don’t want to go for too often due to it being potentially distracting, but it seemed like the best choice for showing Slippy deftly dodging meteors like it was second-nature.
